NuCore Energy, LLC was established in February 2009 as a partnership between James C. (“Jim”) Cornell, a leading nuclear fuel market executive, and Cadent Energy Partners, a Stamford, CT based private equity firm that specializes in energy sector investments. Today the company serves as a corporate vehicle for Jim’s advisory services agreements with Traxys North America, LLC, one of the largest private commodity trading companies in the world, and Ur-Energy, Inc., one of the lowest cost uranium producers in the nuclear industry. Through NuCore, Jim provides nuclear fuel trading, mining investment and funding, portfolio management, complex deal structuring, uranium marketing, corporate management and nuclear fuel financing services to Traxys and Ur-Energy. Jim has contributed to both companies becoming industry leaders in their respective fields.
